Installing your SideKick
Before we get started…
The Tulster SideKick is an easy-to-add attachment that helps reduce printing and increase concealment. It can be added to many IWB holsters with a significant flat trigger-guard.
The framework of the SideKick is designed for Tulster profile holsters, so it is not guaranteed to work on any other holster design or brand.
The Tulster SideKick will NOT work with the following Tulster Profile Holsters.
Choosing your SideKick
For your convenience, we’ve included TWO sizes of the Tulster SideKick. Whichever one you choose is up to personal preference.
The Tulster SideKick MEDIUM (E) is recommended for single stack firearms, and some firearms with staggered magazines, such as…
For all light-bearing holsters, we recommend the “Medium” SideKick, since the additional material added by the light is also pushing against the backside of your belt.
The Tulster SideKick LARGE (D) is recommended for double-stack firearms, and a few larger firearms with staggered magazines, such as…
|This is NOT a comprehensive list of every compatible firearm. Ultimately whichever SideKick you choose to use is up to you.|
Take your selected Tulster SideKick, either the Medium (E) or the Large (D), and “Dry-fit” the SideKick on your holster.
It should be positioned on the front-side of your holster… (the side with the quick-clip) and placed on the trigger-guard. It should be positioned EVEN with the bottom of the holster and spanning the retention divot of the trigger-guard.
SOME Tulster holsters with rounded or misshapen trigger-guards are still compatible, as long as the majority of the surface area of the SideKick is on flat kydex.
For light bearing holsters they should be placed adjacent with the edge of the holster, spanning any visible retention divots. See the photo below of a Shield w/ Streamlight TLR-6:
After we’ve decided on the placement, we’re ready to begin the installation.
